Change your Password

    If you are a netINS customer ( dialup, DSL, cable modem, email only/additional email ), you can change your account password with this utility.

    At this time, only the account password can be changed from this interface. Other information such as Real Name, address, basic showcase areaname, etc must be changed by our Technical Support group. They can be reached at 800/205-1110; 24 hours a day.

    If you are a telnet/shell user, you must call Technical Support for assistance in changing your password.

    To begin, you must provide us with your current username and password so that we can validate who you really are. Your username is your complete email address ( e.g., jim@netins.net ) and your password is either the one you use to dialup with or to check your email.

    Now provide the new password you would like to use. You will need to type it twice ( for verification purposes ). First, type the new password in the "New Password" field. Then type the same password in the "Verify Password" field.

    Both fields will fill with asterisks (***) when you type. Passwords must be between 6 and 16 characters in length. Any typable character is allowed and is encouraged ( numbers, special characters like @$^&(), etc. ) to make the password more difficult to guess.

    Now all that is left is to press the "Update" button and save your changes. Changing password information can take a few moments, so please click on the "Update" button once and be patient. Any errors in the form will be returned to you in a follow-up form.
